Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you’ve all had a great week! I actually started a new job this week and have outfits and details to share, so forgive me for going out of order, but I really wanted to do my first Caturday Saturday today. What is Caturday? Well, I’m not sure yet… but today it’s an outfit plus a cat.
So, here in DFW, TX we have the most indecisive weather ever. Yesterday I went to work in a coat, hat, gloves, scarf… the whole bit. So, when the weather took a turn for the better today at 65 degrees, I went a bit overboard and pretty much dressed like it was already summer. Over kill? Probably, yes. Fun and refreshing? DEFINETLY.
Before the guest of honor arrives, let’s just get into the outfit! What I really love about this is that I got this skirt for such a steal! It’s J. Crew 2007 and I managed to find it on eBay in my size for a great price! It just makes me want to go to Hamptons and pretend I’m rich and preppy…
Skirt: J. Crew (on eBay here)
Tank top: H&M (similar)
Bracelet: J. Crew Factory
Wedges: DSW (similar)
Now, bring on the Caturday goodness and meet Fonzie! Full name is Fonzworth because he’s just so very fancy. But Fonzie for short. Sometimes I feel like I’m just not fancy enough of an owner for such a fancy cat.
Fonzie is an indoor cat and a homebody, so I took quite the chance taking him outside for a few moments to snap some shots with him. And “a chance” I mean I was taking a chance at getting my shoulders clawed off.. and I basically did.
Look at the camera Fonzie!
And here is one of my favorite features of the little guy… his cute little flat profile!
Love you goober…
And this concludes the first Caturday Saturday and probably the great weather as well! Have a wonderful weekend, all!

Red has always been one of my favorite colors to wear. It’s bold, it’s a power color, and it gives me yet another excuse to wear red lipstick! So, it’s ironic that I don’t actually own a lot of red. I have maybe one red dress that’s very sweet with eyelets from ASOS that’s strictly a summer dress. I get a lot of use out of it in Texas, but we do indeed have winter. Oh, but I do have this killer red sweater with a raccoon on it… it’s amazing, I swear but not very versatile or well… adult… for that matter. That’s why I was thrilled to find these two red pieces this fall! And trust me, I’ve been getting a lot of use out of them!
Now, I see a lot of pink in my near future now that warmer weather is on it’s way, but I’m going to be holding on to popping reds for just a bit longer!
Top: J. Crew Factory
Skirt: LOFT (similar)
Tight: J. Crew Factory (similar)
Purse: Philip Lim for Target
On another note, I just had to bring up Her, which I saw last night.
AND the movie poster is red… win, win. Anyway, if you have yet to see this movie, do yourself a favor and go see it. It’s more than just a romantic comedy. Many may argue that it’s been done before… A.I., Centennial Man… even Pinocchio. But, then again everything really is a remix of something else before it. What makes this so unique and impactful is that it speaks volumes to where our society is today. Our faces buried in our phones, our dependency on technology… it just says so much in a mere two hours. I took a class in college called reading media critically, where we would basically pick apart article, movies, tv shows and find the true meat of it, and this movie just has so much to it. I would have loved to write about it for that class! Seriously, go see it!
Until next time!

I’m not going to lie, I love me some online shopping! Perhaps too much at times. Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually a mall girl too, but I just love seeing whats new as soon as possible! Maybe I’m just part of the instant gratification era, but I’m also sensible enough to know that it’s not always the best course of action.
Take this dress from LOFT for example. Gorgeous isn’t it? It was love at first sight for me. I was posting it on Instagram, showing it to friends, and literally stalking my email just waiting for a sale. Why a sale? Well, I did just graduate college. Anyway, I had it all planned out. My new black and white dress, normal size, and we’d live happily ever after! Finally a sale roles around that happens to be both online and instore. Call the instant gratification again, but I had to check it out in stores.
To my surprise the dress wasn’t actually black and white. Rather, it was a blueish gray, and almost navy black. No matter! It was still beautiful!
So, I grabbed my normal size, and headed to the fitting room to get more aquatinted with my new love. To my surprise my normal size was much too big. At least a full size too big. So, I sized down, and came out with a different color than intended, but I’m still a very very happy camper!
What I really love about this dress is the beautiful pleating right on the hips. It’s so flattering and such a sweet, feminine detail.
So, even though I love online shopping, buying this dress online wasn’t the right choice for me here. I would have bought the wrong size, and it would have just set me back from being united with this lovely little number.
So, what do you think? Online shopping… friend or foe?
